Rajasthan Jeevan Pramaan Desktop Client Installation Procedure guideline
Procedure to install the Drivers and the Client Application Software for Windows.
Step 1 - Client System Requirementsfor installing Jeevan Pramaan software.
- Microsoft .Net Framework version 4 - Full (or) Higher
- Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86) for 32bit Windows machine (or)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x64) for 64bit Windows machine
Note: -
a) Please make sure the above softwareis available in your machine before proceeding to download the Jeevan Pramaan Application.
For checking: go to “Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features”.
b) If not available download the software from Microsoft website and Install.
A) Click on Digital Certificate Guideline link.
For Windows/PC Application version:-
· Choose the download based on your Windows system configuration (32/64 Bit)and Finger Print/Iris device you have.
· Extract the contents of the downloaded File.
Note: - Jeevan Pramaan application installation only once irrespective of the number Finger Print/Iris devices you have.
Part1 - Procedure to install Device drivers for the following devices:
· Mantra MFS100
· Nitgen-HFDU08-BioEnable
· Precision CSD200
· Secugen PRO20
· Morpho MSO 1300E SAFRAN
· Anaxee FS88
· NEC FS88
· Precision FM220
Note: Please do not connect the Finger Print/Iris Device before installing the drivers.
- Open the corresponding Drivers folder and run the setup executable file.
- Follow the instructions that appear while installation.
- Once the installation is finished, connect the device to USB port of the PC.
- Windows will start searching for the drivers and once the device drivers are loaded, you will be able to start using Client Software for Jeevan Pramaan.
Note: - Please skip step below (part2) if you are not using Startek Finger Print /Iris devices and vice versa
Part2 - Procedure to install Device drivers for the following devices:
· Startek FM220
· Iritech Irishield MK2120U (Iris Scanner)
- Connect Iris scanner to USB port of PC.
- Now Open Device Manager under control panel and you should be able to see IriShield in Other devices as shown below.
- Right Click on IriShield and click Update Driver Software.
- In the next screen, Click "Browse my computer for driver software" as shown below.
- In next screen, Make sure that "Include Subfolders" is checked and then click Browse Button.
- Now select the folder "Drivers & Native Libarires\32bit\Drivers\IriShield-USB Bino_Mono Driver" and click Next.
- In the next screen, click Install. This will install the required IriShield drivers.
- In device manager, you should see the following window indicating sucessful installation of IriShield.
Note: Similar procedure to be followed for Startek Finger Print device.
Part1 - Procedure to set the PATH variable in the User variables section
1. Go to Control Panel - > System
2. In the left pan click on Advanced System Settings.
3. In the Advanced Tab click on Environmental variable
4. Add or Update the User variable (variable name PATH) using EDIT button.
4.1) If the user path variable exists then at the end of the path variable add the below string line (Complete string marked Red below even though you are using single device).

4.2) If the user path variable does not exists then create a new PATH variable with the
below string line. (Complete string marked Red below even though you are using single device).

5. Do the steps 4.1 and 4.2 to set the PATH variable in the System variables section.
Step 5 – Procedure to Install Jeevan Pramaan Application
- Extract “Jeevan Pramaan.zip” to folder “Jeevan Pramaan”
- Open the “Jeevan Pramaan” folder and click on “Jeevan Pramaan.exe”.
- After that screen will Appear and then click on “Step 1” to Proceed.
- Click on “Next” to complete the 1st step of installation and then click on “Finish” button
- Click on “Step 2” for installation.
- Click on “Next” button to proceed and destination folder must be “C:\Program Files\Jeevan Pramaan\” or “C:\Program Files(86)\Jeevan Pramaan\” and click on “Finish” to complete the 2nd step of Installation
- Now click on “Step 3” to complete the last step of installation and click on “Next” button.
- The destination folder must be “C:\JeevanMitra\” and click “Next”.
- Now click on “Next” and then on “Finish” button and also a shortcut will be placed on your Desktop.
- Now close the “Jeevan Pramaan installer” and you have successfully installed the Jeevan Pramaan Application.
- To run the Application click on “eMitra Jeevan Pramaan” icon on your Desktop.
a) Futronics FS88 Device

Since "Futronics FS88" device is integrated by both Anaxee and NEC, delete any one of the vendors folder from FingerprintSensors directory and work.
Explanation:-
· If your finger print device name is Anaxee, delete the "NECFS88" folder from “c:\ FingerprintSensors” path.
· If your finger print device name is NEC, delete the "ANAXEE-FS88-WW" folder from “c:\ FingerprintSensors” path.
b) FM220 Device

Since "FM220" device is integrated by both Startek and Precision, delete any one of vendors folder from FingerprintSensors directory and work.
Explanation:-
· If your finger print device name is Precision, delete the "Startek-FM220-ACPL" folder from “c:\ FingerprintSensors” path.
· If your finger print device name is Startek, delete the "Precision" folder from “c:\ FingerprintSensors” path. Also the "PrecisionBiometricService" under services needs to be stopped if it is running (to do that, Click Start , click in the Start Search box, type services.msc , and then press ENTER).
