National Digital Literacy Mission (‘NDLM’) has been
initiated with the vision to empower at least one person per household with
crucial digital literacy skills by 2020. Official website National Digital

empower at least one person per household with crucial digital literacy skills
by 2020.This is expected to touch the lives of more than 250 million
individuals over the next few years. NDLM is an effort to complement
government’s vision to transform one from each household as digitally literate.
The National Digital Literacy Mission is a dynamic and
integrated platform of digital literacy awareness, education and capacity
programmers that will help rural communities fully participate in the global
digital economy. Our focus is on making technology central to enabling change.
The various stakeholders for the Mission are:
Government of India, working to extend the vision of a
digital India by promoting e-governance and transform India into a connected
knowledge economy Making one person in every family digitally literate is one
of the integral components of the Prime Minister’s vision of “Digital India”.Altogether
52.5 lac persons, including Anganwadi and ASHA workers and authorized
ration dealers will be trained under the programmer in two phases.
Course Duration-
Level 1 : 20 Hours (Minimum 10 Days and Maximum 30
Days)
Level 2 : 40 Hours (Minimum 20 Days and Maximum 60
Days)
Medium of Instruction
Level 1 and 2 : Official Languages of India
Fee:-
Level 1 : For SC/ ST/ BPL Households, no training fee
payable and for General candidates, course fee of Rs. 125 applicable.
Level 2 : For SC/ ST/ BPL Households, no training fee
payable and for General candidates, course fee of Rs. 250 applicable.
